Paste As File
Copy text, an image, formatted content, spreadsheet cells, WAVE audio, a link, or another supported clipboard representation. Right-click the destination, choose Clipboard To File Here, select what you want, name it, and save it as a real file.
The clipboard often has the data, but no file.
A copied image from a website, formatted text from a document, cells from a spreadsheet, or WAVE audio from an application may exist in several clipboard formats at once. Turning the right representation into a standalone file usually means opening another program, pasting, choosing a format, and saving by hand.
Show the useful choices and save the one you mean.
Paste As File inspects the clipboard only when you invoke it, groups duplicate low-level formats into understandable file choices, previews supported content, and writes the selected representation into the folder where you started.

Accept the collision-safe suggested name or enter your own, then save the file and close the application.

Meaningful File Choices
Collapses duplicate Windows contracts into understandable output types while Advanced details lists every advertised Win32 and OLE format and retrieves bounded evidence when the source exposes it.
Rendered Previews
Displays supported images, formatted RTF, rendered HTML, tables, WAVE audio waveforms, links, text, and bounded raw evidence with an appropriate Windows control.
Safe File Creation
Suggests untitled names, increments collisions, validates Windows filenames, and publishes completed output without silently replacing an existing file.
Image Inspection
Fits complete images to the available area, then supports pointer-centered wheel zoom, grab-drag panning, and standard scrollbars.
Format-Aware Output
Saves or converts supported text, HTML, RTF, URLs, common images, WAVE audio, spreadsheet data, and verified embedded file streams.
Short-Lived Native App
Runs only when launched from Explorer or the Start Menu, then exits after saving or cancelling. It does not monitor the clipboard, install a service, sit in the tray, or maintain clipboard history.

Paste As File 1.1 build 158 is the current public release. Thirty-five automated tests pass, as do 66 installer assertions covering installation, prior-version upgrade, repair, removal, and final reinstall. The out-of-process Explorer launch boundary, clipboard parsers, atomic no-overwrite saving, keyboard navigation, image controls, light/dark modes, and mixed-DPI behavior were also validated. It is freeware, not a subscription, service, trial, or cloud product.
